Our expert installers specialise in the installation of residential split systems from small 2.5kW systems, medium systems from 5kW and larger systems from 8kW and up. Conditions apply to a standard back-to-back installation.

You can get a quote by adding the items to your order. Below the product description you'll find additional options you can add to your order including installation for the current system and a wall bracket if you want it mounted off the floor. Add those components to your order for a total price less flat rate delivery.

Simply add the installation to your order from the product page, and we'll schedule the install date and contact you to confirm.
After your order is received, our warehouse team needs 3-5 business days to pick and pack your order.
While your order is being prepared, we consult with our installation partners and endeavour to book your install within 2 weeks of the order being placed. Note that this can vary due to installer availability and high demand during summer.
We are unable to provide a date for installation until we have consulted with our network of installers, however we endeavour to book an install within 2 weeks of your order being placed. We check with our network to find the earliest possible date for installation and will follow up with you to determine a convenient time to install your air conditioner.

The installation of air conditioning units requires licenced tradespeople to perform the work. For example, refrigerant handling is controlled by the Australian Refrigeration Council and heavy penalties exist for unauthorised work. The same applies for all electrical work and should not be carried out unless you are a licenced electrical contractor.

Do you offer Australian warranty with all of your products?
All of the products that Air Direct offer carry full manufacturer warranty. These warranty periods vary slightly between brands however all offer comprehensive parts and labour for between 5 and 7 years.
What if I receive the unit and it’s the wrong size for my space?
Please be very careful to determine the correct capacity system for your needs as whilst we do accept returns, you will be liable to a pickup fee and a restocking fee. If the system has been unboxed, no returns will be allowed.
There are many factors that determine cooling and heating requirements, and "online calculators" do not provide a guarantee of adequate capacity for your situation. However, we generally recommend 2.5-3.5kW for small rooms, 3-5kW for medium size rooms, 6-7kW for large rooms, and minimum 8kW or greater for larger or open-plan rooms.

Can I exchange the unit I bought for another?
The quickest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
What if my order is damaged?
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Change of Mind Return and Exchange
We have a 30-day return policy for change of mind, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return in writing. Change of mind return is not available on sale items.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return delivering label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return in writing or above will not be accepted.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund will be approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If not accepted we will contact you to arrange for you to collect the goods.

Damaged and Faulty Goods
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Where the Australian Consumer Law and other laws give you rights against us as a supplier of goods then, to the extent such conditions, warranties or other rights are implied or given in respect of our supply of goods to you and it is not lawful or possible to exclude them, then such conditions, warranties or other rights shall (but only to the extent required by law) apply to our supply to you and all other conditions, warranties or rights which might but for this provision be implied are hereby expressly excluded except for those under the Returns and Refund Policy. Where the law implies any term or warranty into these terms and conditions which cannot be excluded, then our liability for any breach of such term will be limited in the manner permitted under section 64A of the Australian Consumer Law to one of the following (as we may determine):
in the case of goods supplied, to any one or more of the following:replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods;repair of the goods;payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; andpayment of the cost of having the goods repaired.
